Bryson Says Pro Golfers Are Losing Money – Lucky We’re Too Sh*t to Care

You’ve got to love Bryson. One minute he’s smashing drives into orbit, the next he’s dropping truth bombs about how even pro golfers outside the top 165 are losing money. Flights, caddies, coaches, hotels—it all adds up. Apparently, unless you're one of the elite few, the PGA Tour is one very expensive hobby.

Meanwhile... we’re here spending €35 on green fees, three lost balls, and a couple of post-round beers—and calling it a win.

The Harsh Reality of Pro Golf (And Why It’s Not Our Problem)

According to Bryson, if you’re ranked outside the top 165 on the PGA Tour, your prize money doesn’t even cover your expenses. The same guys who grind it out every week, living out of suitcases, chasing flags, and battling mental demons... are going home with less in their pockets than they started with.

Must be tough.

But let’s be honest, most of us can’t even break 90, let alone break even.

We play golf for what really matters:

  • Losing count of your strokes on hole 6,

  • Shanking your drive onto another fairway (and making new friends there),

  • And telling the story way bigger than it actually was over a beer at the 19th hole.

Our Prize Money? Laughter, Lost Balls, and Last-Place Bragging Rights

Bryson’s fighting for a bigger slice of the pie. We’re fighting for who’s buying the next round.
And we wouldn’t change a thing.

Imagine if we had to win €500K just to justify our next round of golf. We'd be broke and miserable. Instead, we celebrate the glorious mess of it all:

  • €20 lost on bets you never had a chance of winning.

  • A driver you swore you'd replace, but secretly love for how badly it performs.

  • That one pure 7-iron that keeps you coming back.

Play Golf on Your Own Terms

Big Fred Golf was never about perfection. It’s about keeping it real, playing like sh*t, and laughing harder than you hit.

So yeah, Bryson’s got a point. Professional golf is a grind. But the rest of us? We’ll keep losing balls, losing bets, and somehow feeling like we won.

Because we’re not here for the money.
We’re here for the moments.
